Hudson Bay Credit Union is committed to our community and investing in our community is both a responsibility and a privilege. All sponsorship and donations decisions are made locally so our proceeds are invested locally to ensure you, your community and your credit union grows stronger together.

Types of Support Available:
- Donations (including gifts in kinds), cash, or staff time
- Sponsorships
- Partnerships
- Promotional Items, door prizes, and giveaways
Requests for support should be made at least one month before your organization needs assistance. Download the application form and return it via fax, mail, or in person.
Due to the broad scope and varied nature of the requests we receive, it is necessary to focus on a few areas that we feel best fit with the mission, vision and values of Hudson Bay Credit Union.
Key Areas of Interest
Preference will be given to charitable and non-profit events and organizations. Support will be considered in the following areas.
- Youth and education
- Community economic development
- Visible minorities
- Health and human services
- Agriculture
- Arts and culture
- Professional or amateur sport
- Co-operative development
Funding will not be provided for:
- Political or religious organizations
- Advocacy organizations whose causes are publicly controversial
- Organizations or projects whose benefits are national, provincial or outside the geographic area in which the credit union does business
- Requests for general operating funding
- Individuals, with the exception of Co-op Youth and Education Scholarships and awards
Requests for donations or sponsorships are evaluated under the following guidelines:
- Will the event be held, or will the money be spent, in our trading area? Within this focus, is the project designed to reach a maximum number of people?
- Does it provide economic value, improve the quality of life, or contribute to the social well-being of our community/trading area?
- Does the event fall under one of the following areas: Youth, Education, Economic Development, Visible Minorities, Health & Human Services, Culture, Charity, Arts, Recreation, or Sports
- Does the club or organization conduct or intend to conduct business or partner with Hudson Bay Credit Union on the event? Are current staff members actively involved in this club, group or organization?
- Is the club or organization requesting a sponsorship or donation larger than $1,000? (Donation requests or management recommendations in excess of $1,000 will be reviewed annually on September 30th by our locally elected Board of Directors)
- Opportunities in which there is potential for a new business relationship or partnership with Hudson Bay Credit Union will be considered.
- Group receiving support may be asked to participate in sponsorship evaluation.
